2. Description of Services
Brightwood Labs provides mobile applications designed to help users visualize their personal finances. Our apps connect with third-party services (such as YNAB) to retrieve your data and display it locally on your device. We do not store your financial data on our servers.
3. Third-Party Account Connections
Our apps allow you to connect third-party accounts (such as YNAB) to access your data. When connecting these accounts:
- You authorize the third-party service to share data with our app on your device
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your third-party account credentials
- You may revoke access at any time through the third-party service or our app settings
- We do not have access to your third-party login credentials
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use our services for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or third-party services
- Interfere with or disrupt our services
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- Use automated systems to access our services without permission
- Exceed rate limits imposed by third-party services through our apps
5. Intellectual Property
Our applications, including all content, features, and functionality, are owned by Brightwood Labs LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6. Purchases and Payments
Some features require a purchase. We offer different purchase options:
- Lifetime Purchases: A one-time payment for permanent access to specified features. No recurring charges.
- Subscriptions: Recurring payments that automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Purchases may be made through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or our website. Refund policies are governed by the platform through which you made your purchase.
7. Your Data
Your financial data is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to, and cannot recover, your locally stored data. You are responsible for:
- Backing up any data you wish to preserve
- Understanding that uninstalling the app will delete locally stored data
- Managing your own device security
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- Our services will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Third-party services will remain available or compatible
- Calculations or visualizations will be accurate for your specific situation
- Our services will meet your specific requirements
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brightwood Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to damages arising from:
- Financial decisions made based on information displayed in our apps
- Loss of data stored on your device
- Interruption of third-party service connections
- Unauthorized access to your device

Our applications are visualization tools only. We do not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The information displayed in our apps should not be relied upon for making financial decisions. Always consult qualified professionals for financial, tax, and legal matters.
11. Third-Party Services
Our apps integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for:
- The availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services
- Changes to third-party APIs that may affect our app functionality
- Third-party service outages or data accuracy
